Public Spaces Protection Order (Gating) at Brackley Gate, Morley and Moor Lane, Little Eaton
The Public Spaces Protection Order (Gating) at Brackley Gate, Morley and Moor Lane, Little Eaton is due to expire in early February 2027.
Published: 4 November 2026
The gates that are currently in situ on this highway are permitted through this Order and were installed to stop the anti-social use of the lane and surrounding land. The gates do not stop walkers, cyclists or horse riders, and the Order also permits ‘Authorised Organisations’ to apply for access for other leisure pursuits.
The council has launched a consultation survey to gather the views of local residents, partner organisations and visitors to the area, including whether there is support for the council to extend the Order for a further three years as permitted by the legislation.
The consultation is available on the council’s Let’s Talk Erewash (opens in new tab) site, and all information about the existing and proposed PSPOs is available at Public Space Protection Orders | Erewash Borough Council (opens in new tab).
I would appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your comments and views on this matter before the deadline of 23:59 on 6 December 2026. I would also appreciate you sharing this with anyone you believe may want to contribute to this consultation.
